...college memories alive!
1. Visit campus on a fall day...the most beautiful time of year at Michigan State!
2. Walk around campus on a football Saturday and eat the free donuts and apple cider left out at the Student Bookstore by QD (Quality Dairy)...I could taste it without even putting it in my mouth!
3. Eat at a restaurant/bar on Grand River that hasn't changed much over the years!
4. Wear everything green and white you have in the closet (and buy a bunch more to wear later)! And don't forget to put your "game face" on!
5. Hang out with Sparty! (or as Steph's new T-Shirt says..."Sparty On!")
6. Listen to the fight song played by the band a million times! The video I took of this didn't turn out great, but I have included a link below. There is also a nice long version on You Tube you can watch if you want! lol BTW...favorite part of the fight song now is when the entire student section yells "see their team is WEAK (instead of weakening)"! :)
7. Go to a football game filled to capacity (about 75K) and sit near the student section!
8. Watch team "choke" in a big game (ugh)! :) Still was totally fun being there!
Kind of fun to think I have a child who is considering going to the same college Jim and I graduated from. I know Lexi will be lobbying hard for her to go to Pepperdine (one of the other schools she is interested in) though so she isn't completely outnumbered in the family! lol
Perfect weekend! :)
Thanks for the trip down memory lane....... wow that looks like fun!!! tena

I read your blog and have commented once before. As a fellow Spartan, I so loved your campus photos!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!! I haven't been home to a game in about 4 years....while my family (including 80 year old parents) go to every home game and almost every away game...I just couldn't work it into my plans this fall! Thanks again for sharing and GO GREEN!!!! (Ps-My brother saw Coach Dantonio sitting in Kellogg Center last Saturday morning reading the newspaper before the big game....thought that was interesting).

What a fun weekend. Only 5 more years and we to will be shopping for colleges. My students are still into their listing and freaked because we missed 2 days this week. It is such a powerful tool. Thanks again!
